If at first you don’t succeed

If at first you don’t succeed, rethink your strategy. Betting is an unforgiving world. The money you placed on your “just getting a feel for it” bets and lost, is gone. Forever. You have to be able to deal with that reality and move on. And if you think that just because you’re playing the same card game or betting on the same time that gives you the feeling of “taking your money back”, you have the wrong attitude. Any sport bets guru will tell you that you need to be realistic about gambling. It’s only when you can stare at cold facts and numbers in the face and not be daunted by them that you’re ready to gamble with the big boys.

Worrying and second guessing have no room in gambling. It’s not even true that you have that much time when it comes to sports betting. Those amazing odds that would make you win so much money on a small bet on that game you were sure the big team wouldn’t win because the home team’s doing so well lately can be gone is seconds. Grasp the opportunity or don’t.

A guide to gambling would tell you not to rush into anything, and I agree. But knowing when the final decision has been made in your brain is crucial. If it’s fold, fold it and fight another day. But if it’s bet on that batter to have a home run, and you still have an inch of doubt in your brain, then you’re not ready to put money into it.
