To start off you will need to sign up to companies that are looking for mystery shoppers. Only ever sign up to companies that are free and not to a company that charge you a fee, it is more than likely that these companies are not legitimate. The more companies you join, the more money you are likely to make. Also, if you live in a city as opposed to a village, you are more likely to find more mystery shopping opportunities.
How do I get paid?
Most mystery shopping companies pay monthly, either directly into your bank account or via PayPal. On average, you earn between £5 and £50 per assignment. On occasion you may be required to spend your own money initially and this money will be reimbursed at a later date.
Could mystery shopping be a full time career option?
Whether a living can be made off mystery shopping is debatable. On the whole it is probably best to see it as a nice way to make a supplementary income to service those ever present bills. The main reason why it may not be suitable to rely on mystery shopping as a full time career is the uncertainty and irregularity of the work available.
